About Us

WHO WE ARE
The Community Coalition for Social Justice (CCSJ) brings together people from throughout the Morgantown and nearby areas, religious organizations, faculty and staff of area schools and the University, labor unions, and community advocacy organizations. We welcome your participation. We need your help. Join Us!

PRINCIPLES, MISSION STATEMENT, AND BY-LAWS
Our Principles, Mission Statement, and By-laws are here. Please note that CCSJ is a 501 (c) (3) organization and therefore is non-partisan. While we encourage everyone to vote and participate in the political process, we do not endorse candidates, provide a forum for candidates to campaign, or publicize partisan political statements.

WHEN AND WHERE WE MEET
We currently meet via Zoom at 7:30 p.m. on the third Tuesday of each month. The meetings usually last 1.0 - 1.5 hours. See CCSJ News for any additions or alterations to this schedule.

WHAT WE HAVE DONE
Every year we have organized a Martin Luther King Jr. Day celebration in downtown Morgantown. For more information on our prior MLK Jr. Day events, see here.
We organized the acquisition of collections of books for the Morgantown Library focused on diversity, tolerance, and justice. See pictures below. Book lists are on the Resources page.
